Manhattan sits at the far southwest edge of the metro, where Will County farmland gives way to subdivisions. It started in 1880 as a stop on the Wabash Railroad, and today it's the southern end of Metra's SouthWest Service, the last station on the whole line. The older core near downtown runs to ranches, Cape Cods, and bungalows. Ranch Oaks dates to the 1960s and 70s. Around it, Sunset Lakes, Stonegate, and Leighlinbridge have filled in with newer single-family homes, duplexes, and townhomes since 2000.

Can Excel do a bath or shower remodel too?
Yes. Excel Shower & Bath updates tubs and showers with solid-surface walls, either Onyx Collection or BCI acrylic, both fit to your space with Moen fixtures. We don't do tile or thin plastic liners. One easy win is swapping an old tub for a low-step or walk-in shower, which makes daily use easier and safer. Most bath installs wrap in days, not weeks.
