Steel or fiberglass for my entry door?+
Both are solid. Steel — ProVia's Legacy — is 20-gauge and budget-friendly, and it resists dents. Fiberglass — Signet and Ascent — takes a realistic woodgrain finish, won't rust, and won't need repainting. We'll walk you through the trade-offs at the measure.
Sliding or French for a patio door?+
A slider saves space since nothing swings into the room — our go-to is the Soft-Lite Kingsroyal, with ProVia Endure as another vinyl option. A French door, like ProVia's steel Legacy French, swings open for a wider entry and a more classic look. We bring both to the consultation.
Can my storm door use the same key as my front door?+
Yes. Because we install ProVia on both entry and storm doors, the storm door's lock can be keyed to match your front door — one key for both.
What brands do you carry?+
Entry and storm doors are all ProVia. Patio doors are multi-vendor: Soft-Lite Kingsroyal (our go-to), ProVia Endure and Legacy French, Pella Lifestyle, and Sierra Pacific.
What warranty comes with the door?+
Every ProVia door carries a transferable Lifetime Limited manufacturer product warranty; Pella patio doors carry Pella's limited lifetime terms with 20-year glass. On top of the manufacturer's product warranty, Excel warrants the labor for 5 years — and there's no service-fee gate when you call us out. The specifics are written into your contract.
