Entry Doors
Your front door is the first thing people see and the last thing keeping the cold out. We install steel and fiberglass doors that seal tight and look sharp.

A good entry door does two jobs: it sets the look of your house, and it seals out the weather. An old door that's warped, drafty, or hard to lock falls down on both. We replace it with a steel or fiberglass door fit to your opening and sealed tight.
You pick the style, the glass, the color, and the hardware. We measure, install clean, and make sure it shuts square and locks easy. We've been hanging doors in south-suburb homes since 1982.

Entry Doors — common questions
Steel or fiberglass — what's the difference?
Steel is strong and budget-friendly. Fiberglass resists dents and weather better and can be made to look like real wood grain. Both seal well. We'll help you pick based on your home and budget.
Will a new door really cut the draft?
If your old door is warped or the weatherstripping is shot, yes — a lot. A new door fit to the opening with fresh seals stops the cold air you feel now.
Can I add glass or sidelights?
Yes. You can add decorative glass in the door and sidelights or a transom around it, as long as the opening allows. We'll show you the options at the measure.
Do you replace the frame too?
Usually yes — a full replacement includes a new frame and threshold, which is how you get a proper seal. We'll explain exactly what's included in your proposal.
How long does the install take?
Most entry doors go in within a day. We give you a real timeline up front.
What about the lock and hardware?
You pick the handle set and finish, and we install it. We make sure it locks easy and lines up right before we leave.
What's the warranty?
You get the manufacturer's product warranty plus Excel's labor warranty. The specifics are written into your contract — read them, and ask us anything.
Will the same crew be on my job?
Yes. We send the same crews job after job — low turnover, same faces from start to finish.
