From Weathersfield ranches to split-level baths
Schaumburg grew up fast. In 1959, Alfred Campanelli broke ground on Weathersfield, and the surrounding farmland filled in with ranches, split-levels, and bi-levels through the 1960s and '70s. Woodfield Mall opened in 1971, and later subdivisions like Lexington Fields, Pleasant Valley, and Park St. Claire filled in over the decades that followed. Today those homes sit under mature oaks and maples, a short ride from the Metra station on the Milwaukee District West line. Many still have the original bathrooms they were built with, right down to the step-over tub.
Excel Shower & Bath works out of our headquarters in Tinley Park, about 35 miles south, and Schaumburg is part of the Chicagoland area we cover. We've been at it since 1982.
