Excel Shower & Bath
Full Bathroom Remodels
When you want the whole room done, not just the shower. We handle the walls, vanity, flooring, fixtures, and cabinetry — designed and built together.

Sometimes the shower isn't the only thing that's tired. A full bathroom remodel takes the whole room — walls, vanity, flooring, fixtures, lighting, and cabinetry — and brings it together in one project, handled by one crew, so the pieces actually match.
It starts with design. We sit down with you, measure the whole room, and plan how the surfaces, colors, and layout work together before anything is ordered. Most full remodels run typically 5–7 days of work once we start, though it varies by project — the more you change, the longer it takes, and we'll give you an honest timeline up front rather than a promise we can't keep.
For cabinetry, we work with Brothers Leal, a local family-owned Illinois cabinet maker, so your vanity and any built-ins can be made to fit your room instead of forced in from a big-box shelf. Shower and tub surfaces are solid surface — the Onyx Collection or Bath Concepts acrylic, both seamless and bright — paired with Moen fixtures. We've been remodeling baths in south-suburb homes since 1982, and the same crew carries your job from demo to the final walk-through.

THE FINISHED DETAILS
Where the room comes together
A full remodel is a dozen decisions that have to work as one. Here's how we sweat each one — and where we help you save money without cutting the parts that matter.
A shower or tub designed for your space
We start with the wet area — solid-surface walls and a matching base, built to fit the room instead of forced to a stock size. No grout lines to scrub, no tile to reseal.
Glass is your call: bypass sliding doors from Arizona Shower Door come standard, or step up to a frameless enclosure for the open, modern look. Either way it's sealed and built to last.
Moen fixtures, in the finish you want
Faucets, valves, showerheads, lighting, towel rings, and accessories — all Moen, all coordinated so the room reads as one design. Finishes run from Chrome and brushed nickel to matte black, polished nickel, brushed gold, and bronzed gold.
One honest note: not all platforms are available in all finishes. We'll show you what's actually offered in the style you like at your appointment, so there are no surprises.
Flooring done right — old tile fully removed
LVP, tile, or your pick. Unlike companies who go right over the top of the old floor, we fully remove the old tile and level the subfloor as needed before the new floor goes down.
We replace the trim too, so the finished floor meets the wall clean instead of leaving the old, paint-crusted base behind.
Custom cabinetry, built to fit
This is where the room becomes yours. Through our partner Brothers Leal — a local, family-owned Illinois cabinet maker — your vanity is built to fit your space: your choice of trim style, door and drawer style, and color, from traditional oak to charcoal-modern. Want to keep the budget tight? We'll source a big-box unit instead and tell you straight what each route costs.
Vanity towers, linen cabinets, and mirrors round it out — storage where you actually need it, in a finish that matches the rest of the room.
We fix what's behind the wall
Opening up a bathroom usually turns up what the last crew left behind — water damage, tired plumbing, framing that needs attention. We repair what's behind the wall before we close it up, then patch, prime, and paint so the whole room is finished, not just the shower.
The small things you'd notice for years
The details a contractor rushes are the ones you live with — a caulk line that isn't clean, a vanity water-line hole cut rough. We sweat those so you don't notice them later, because the finish is what you see every day.

Full Bathroom Remodels — common questions
How long does a full bathroom remodel take?
Most run typically 5–7 days of work once we start, but it varies by project — the more you change, the longer it takes. We stage the materials before demo so there's no waiting mid-job, and we give you an honest timeline up front. It's never a guarantee, but it's a real estimate.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrical?
Yes. We coordinate the trades the job needs so it's one project for you, not five phone calls. We lay out who does what at the consultation.
Tell me about the cabinetry.
We work with Brothers Leal, a local family-owned Illinois cabinet maker, so your vanity and built-ins are made to fit your room rather than forced in from a big-box shelf. We'll review door styles and finishes with you during design.
Can I keep my layout or move things?
Either way. Keeping the layout is faster and cheaper; moving the shower or vanity is doable but adds plumbing work. We'll talk through the trade-offs honestly during design.
Can you build in aging-in-place features?
Yes. A low-threshold shower, a built-in bench, and Moen grab bars rated to 500 lbs are easy to plan into a full remodel. Tell us at the measure and we'll design around it.
Will my bathroom be usable during the work?
Parts of it will be torn up while we work, so plan to use another bathroom if you have one. We set expectations clearly before we start.
What's the warranty?
The manufacturers warrant the products, and Excel warrants the labor for 5 years. The specifics are written into your contract — read them, and ask us anything.
