Not every opening is a plain rectangle. Arches over a front door, a garden window off the kitchen, a half-round in a gable — these add character, and they need a window made to fit. We measure the exact shape and have it built to order.
A garden window pushes out a few inches and gives you a little glass shelf for herbs or plants, with vented sides for airflow. Arched and custom shapes match the architecture instead of fighting it. We've been fitting these in south-suburb homes since 1982.

Can you match an existing arch or odd shape?
Yes. We measure the exact opening and have the window built to match. That's the whole point of a custom unit — it fits what you've got.
What's a garden window?
It pushes out a few inches from the wall with glass on the sides and top, giving you a sunny little shelf for herbs or plants. The side panes vent for airflow.
Do custom windows take longer to get?
Usually, yes. A custom shape is built just for your opening, so plan on a little more lead time than a standard window. We give you a real date at the consultation.
Will a fixed arch open?
Many decorative arches and half-rounds are fixed glass for the light and the look. If you need it to open, we'll talk through the options that do.
Are these as energy-efficient as standard windows?
Yes. They use the same quality glass and seals — we just build them in a different shape. You don't give up performance to get the look.
How long does the install take?
Most specialty installs are one day, depending on the count and the trim. We give you a real timeline up front.
What's the warranty?
You get the manufacturer's product warranty plus Excel's labor warranty. The specifics are written into your contract — read them, and ask us anything.
Will the same crew be on my job?
Yes. We send the same crews job after job — low turnover, same faces from start to finish.
