Excel Windows
Casement Windows
They crank open with one hand, swing wide for full airflow, and clamp shut tight against the wind. Great over a sink or in a tight spot.

Casement windows hinge on the side and crank outward, so they open all the way for full airflow. There's no rail through the middle, so the view stays clean. And because the sash presses against the frame when you close it, they seal tighter than most window styles.
We see them most over kitchen sinks and in spots that are hard to reach, since one hand on the crank does the job. We've been installing them in south-suburb homes since 1982 — measured right, sealed right, no draft come February.

Casement Windows — common questions
What makes a casement seal so well?
When you crank it shut, the whole sash pulls tight against the frame like a door. That contact seal beats a sliding window for stopping drafts — which matters in a Chicago winter.
Are casements good over a kitchen sink?
Yes, that's one of the most common spots. The crank is easy to reach across a counter, so you don't have to lean over to open the window.
Do the screens go on the inside?
Yes. Because the sash swings outward, the screen sits on the interior. It stays cleaner and you can take it out from inside.
Can I still clean the outside glass?
You can reach most of the exterior glass from inside since the sash swings out and away from the frame. We'll show you how it works at the walk-through.
How long does the install take?
Most whole-home jobs run one to two days, weather depending. We give you a real timeline up front.
What's the warranty?
You get the manufacturer's product warranty plus Excel's labor warranty. The specifics are written into your contract — read them, and ask us anything.
Will the same crew be on my job?
Yes. We send the same crews job after job — low turnover, same faces from start to finish.
