The surround is the part that really changes things. Instead of tile and grout lines that stain and crack, we set a seamless solid-surface surround — the Onyx Collection or Bath Concepts acrylic, both bright and glossy. There's no grout to chase, no caulk line going black, just smooth walls you wipe down and you're done.
Most folks keep one tub in the house for resale or for the kids, and this is the easy way to make it look new again. We've been remodeling baths in south-suburb homes since 1982, and our crew handles your job start to finish.

New Bath Concepts bathtub
A clean, durable Bath Concepts tub set level in place of your old one, sized to fit your existing space. The bottom is sprayed with 6-lb high-density foam — structure and insulation in one — then finished with a non-porous polymer/acrylic coating that wipes clean and holds up.
Solid-surface surround — Onyx or Bath Concepts acrylic
Seamless solid-surface walls around the tub — both bright, glossy, warm to the touch, and grout-free, in a deep range of colors and finishes. We bring samples so you can pick the look you want.
Moen fixtures & built-in storage
New tub filler and valve from Moen, plus a recessed shelf niche set into the solid-surface wall while it's open — and ADA-rated Moen grab bars if you want them, backed by the manufacturer's warranty.

How long does a tub replacement take?
Most are done in a couple of days — days, not weeks. Because the surround arrives built to size, there's no tile to set and grout on site. We give you a real timeline at the consultation; it varies a little by project.
Why a solid-surface surround instead of tile?
Solid surface — the Onyx Collection or Bath Concepts acrylic — is seamless with no grout lines, so there's nothing to stain, crack, or scrub. Tile looks great on day one but the grout is what people end up chasing for years. Solid surface skips that.
Can I pick the look of my surround?
Yes. Both our solid-surface systems — the Onyx Collection and Bath Concepts acrylic — are seamless, bright, and grout-free, in a wide range of colors and finishes. We bring samples and help you choose what fits your home and budget.
Will the new tub fit where my old one is?
Usually, yes — most replacement tubs are sized to drop into a standard tub space. We measure at the consultation and tell you straight if anything needs adjusting.
Can you add grab bars while you're in there?
Yes. We can anchor Moen grab bars — rated to 500 lbs — into the wall while it's open, so they hold solid. It's the right time to add them.
Do you have to move the plumbing?
Usually not. We set the new tub where the old one sat, so most replacements are done without relocating plumbing. If anything needs adjusting, we'll tell you at the measure.
What's the warranty?
The manufacturer warrants the product, and Excel warrants the labor for 5 years. The specifics are written into your contract — read them, and ask us anything.
